Bertineau is of Anishinaabe-Ojibwe, French Canadian and Cornish descent, and a member of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. Her memoir The Mason House describes growing up in the Upper Peninsula, including how her grandmother’s house in a depressed former mining town became her safe place. Attendees will have a chance to win a signed copy! This event will be held at Bestsellers Bookstore, 360 S. Jefferson Street in Mason.
